Residents don’t understand the purpose of the gates

To the Editor:

I’m so tired of people complaining about the gates here. The reason for the gates is clearly misunderstood. They are not for security per se but to SLOW CARS DOWN so that golf carts can cross. I’m grateful for them myself.
