The Villages is unwilling or unable to care for golf courses

To the Editor:

You can add Volusia to your list of courses that are really unplayable. “Horrific condition” is a compliment. The fact that there are so many substandard executive courses highlights the glaring fact that The Villages is unwilling or unable to care for golf courses.  Selling houses based on a lifestyle of all the golf you want is almost criminal considering the awful condition of the courses in The Villages. The high cost to residents to play the championship courses is obviously to keep us off those courses as increased play would probably render them as unplayable as the executive courses.
