What is driving astronomical increase in maintenance assessment?

To the Editor:

My question would be what is driving the increase in the maintenance assessment?
Price Inflation for gardening and lawn care services in 2024 is 2.3 percent, so it can’t be maintenance that is driving this.
I realize this includes mechanical maintenance, roads, etc., but these astronomical increases are totally unacceptable.
