Jacobs will take over trash collection south of State Road 44 in The Villages.
The company already handles trash collection in a vast majority of Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.
Jacobs will take over collection trash collection from Waste Management in Community Development Districts 12-15.
The change will be effective Oct. 1. Trash collection days will remain the same.
