Jacobs will take over trash collection this week south of State Road 44 in The Villages.
The company already handles trash collection in a vast majority of Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.
Jacobs will take over collection trash collection from Waste Management.
The change will be effective Tuesday, Oct. 1. Trash collection days will remain the same.
