Flags should be at half staff for 30 days for President Carter

To the Editor:

U.S. Flags should be at half staff for 30 days following Carter’s passing. Since The Villages has so many former military, I would think most would follow protocol. Today I saw way too many flags not at half mast, the same ones who never have light on them at night. If you fly the flag, do it in the correct manner.
