The two busiest executive golf courses in The Villages are both located south of State Road 44.
The Lowlands Executive Golf Course was the most-played executive golf course in The Villages in 2025. There were 83,284 rounds played at that course last year. It is the second year in a row that the Lowlands course has earned that distinction. It was also No. 1 in 2024, with 76,890 rounds of golf played.
Bordered by the Hogeye Preserve, the Lowlands Executive Golf Course, in the Village of Marsh Bend, offers unique and interesting challenges include elevation changes, multiple tee box locations, water features and strategically placed hazards.
The second most-played executive golf course in The Villages for 2025 was the Longleaf Executive Golf Course, located near Ednas’ on the Green and the Cattail Recreation Center.
