A Wildwood woman was arrested with several unprescribed medications at the Sumter County Courthouse.

A deputy on duty at the Sumter County Courthouse, 215 E McCollum Ave., Bushnell, was informed by court security that a woman with a writ of bodily attachment was in the lobby at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. This person, 45-year-old Kelona Nicole Gibbs, was indeed wanted out of Lake County for unpaid child support.

Gibbs was then detained and searched, including the black draw-string bag on her back. It contained a mix of personal items, such as three diazepam tablets in an expired prescription bottle meant for other medications. She also had an inhaler of albuterol and a second prescription bottle with a clindamycin hydrochloride pill, the report said.

She claimed to have gotten the prescriptions through Langley Medical, but a call to the pharmacy determined that was not true. She next stated she had the prescriptions filled at CVS Pharmacy in Bushnell, and a pharmacist advised that this was not the case, the report said.

Gibbs was arrested on charges of two counts of possession of a new legend drug without a prescription and possession of diazepam. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center with bond set at $3,500 and a hold placed on her by Lake County.
