87-year-old Villager reports more than $5,000 in missing jewelry

More than $5,000 worth of missing jewelry is being investigated after an 87-year-old Villager contacted law enforcement.

The resident of Cruces Court in the Courtyard Villa contacted Lady Lake police on Sept. 27. He believes the jewelry was taken between June 1 and Sept. 20, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

The missing jewelry includes two gold chains valued at $1,600, a gold chain with a large cameo-side portrait valued at $1,500, a pink coral necklace and earrings valued at $500, a gold nugget watch valued at $1,000 and a pair of diamond stud earrings valued at $600.
