A new trade deal for North America

Congressman Daniel Webster

On Friday, President Trump announced that he, along with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, officially signed the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement at the G-20 Summit in Argentina. This new trade deal builds on the decades-old NAFTA and is more-suited for the 21st Century. It provides Americans with the same economic prosperity achieved under NAFTA, but tackles many of the issues NAFTA did not, such as unbalanced trade deficits, lack of protection for technology, limited access to protected Canadian markets, low wage competition, and others. I applaud President Trump for his steadfast effort to fight for American workers and negotiate agreements that benefit Americans at home and on the world stage.

Constituent Corner
A veteran from The Villages contacted our office regarding his chiropractic care. He had been receiving chiropractic care from a non-VA provider through the Veterans Choice Program, but his care stopped when his authorization period ran out.  The veteran had been experiencing delays in obtaining VA approval for a new authorization so that he could continue receiving the care.  Our office submitted an inquiry to the VA and within three days were informed that the VA had finalized a new authorization for the veteran to resume the chiropractic care.
