Abandoned by the Red Hatters

To the Editor:

Follow up as a sad note from a once happy turkey; To belong to a Hatter group one must not get arrested. Life happens and some people might trip over a line draw in the sand. Accused of shoplifting I have been outed by what I thought were sisters of a fraternal group. No recriminations accepted while laying in a hospital bed. No visits from the sisters whose extravagance is publicly applauded and admired because accusations tendered warn them away. Lesson learned: choose your comrades carefully and only wear a big hat if you are certain that a line in the sand is not dangerous and don’t fall ill because that is not fun anymore.
