Alex Santoriello to headline benefit show for Shriners Hospital For Children

Alex Santoriello

Alex Santoriello made his reputation on Broadway but the former New York City performer is ready to try something new in a benefit for Shriners Hospital For Children.

“I’m going outside my comfort zone on this one,” said Santoriello, who plays Savannah Center on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.  “I never did any Motown or disco stuff before so this should be fun.”

The show is called “Broadway and Beyond 2” and among the numbers Santoriello will be performing will be “Bring Him Home,” “Music of the Night” and “The Impossible Dream.”

You might expect those from a guy who appeared on Broadway in “Les Miserables,” “Chess” and “Three Penny Opera.”

But the current Villages’ resident is going to try some new numbers. They include: “She’s A Lady,” “Build Me Up Buttercup,” “Love Train” and “Dance To the Music.”

Santoriello will perform with a live band and four-piece horn section.
