A Summerfield woman was arrested after an episode of “rough consensual sex” with a partner led to a physical altercation that brought Marion County sheriff’s deputies to their home twice on Sunday.
During the first visit to the residence, 25-year-old Kassandra Hernandez told deputies that she became uncomfortable during sex and got into a verbal altercation with her partner. But neither claimed to be the victim of a crime, a sheriff’s office report states, adding that Hernandez had a scratch on her neck and arm and her partner’s neck was bruised.
Later Sunday, a deputy was patrolling the area around Hernandez’s home, located at 13705 SE 44th Ave., and reported seeing her “smack” her partner in the face while on her front porch. Upon further investigation, Hernandez stated that she “lied to law enforcement” earlier and said there was a physical altercation. She said her partner had pushed her and started choking her, the report says.
When asked how her partner had received the bruising on his neck, Hernandez said “she was hitting him.” She also claimed that she slapped the man because he called her a “slut.”
An eyewitness told deputies that she overheard Hernandez and her partner having a verbal altercation. She said she went to check on them and saw “mutual shoving,” followed by Hernandez “throwing multiple punches” at the man, the report says.
The eye witness also told deputies that during the second incident, the woman’s partner was asking about his medication. She said Hernandez became “irate” and started pulling the medication out of her purse and throwing it on the ground. She Hernandez slapped the man, the report says, adding the witness called Hernandez “the primary aggressor” during both incidents.
The woman’s partner told deputies that after the first incident he left the residence to “calm down.” When he returned, he said, a verbal altercation broke out over the whereabouts of his medication. He said Hernandez became upset and started pulling the medication out of her purse and throwing it on the ground. He also said that Hernandez slapped him and he then showed deputies a video of the incident.
Hernandez was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with domestic battery. She was being held on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 11 at 1:30 p.m. to answer to the charge.
Hernandez also was arrested in October 2017 and was charged with dealing in stolen property, providing false information about pawned items and larceny/grand theft.
