Brand-new piece of kitchen equipment goes missing at popular beachfront restaurant

Eaton’s Beach Sandbar & Grill

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called to a popular Weirsdale eatery Tuesday morning after a brand-new piece of kitchen equipment went missing.

When the deputy arrived at Eaton’s Beach Sandbar & Grill, located at 15790 SE 134th Ave. on Lake Weir, he was told that a sandwich refrigerator had been stolen.

The restaurant’s general manager said the Atosa stainless steel refrigerator was delivered Monday at 11:30 a.m. and the driver was told to leave it in a space in west side of the parking lot because the restaurant was busy serving lunch-hour customers. The general manager then realized the $987 refrigerator was missing at about 3:30 p.m., a sheriff’s office report states.
