Bicyclist with marijuana in his sock arrested by Wildwood police

A bicyclist with a bag of marijuana tucked in his sock was arrested by Wildwood police.

Lyndon Charles Cole, 47, had been riding a bicycle without lights at 9:30 p.m. Friday on U.S. 301 at Huey Street when he was stopped by police.

During a pat down, a bag containing 3.6 grams of marijuana was found in Cole’s shin-high sock, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. A white glass smoking pipe with the burnt residue of marijuana also was found in Cole’s sock.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $2,000 bond.
