Billie S. “Boo” Hood, 83 and lifelong resident of Leesburg, FL, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday October 11, 2016. She is survived by three children. Son, Rocky Hood, Fruitland Park, Florida. Two daughters, Vicky Hood Shepherd, Fruitland Park, and Diane Hood McIntyre and husband Larry, of Inverness, Florida. She is also survived by one sister Dorothy Ponce, of Myrtle Beach, SC, along with five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Billie was the daughter of the late James E. and Evelyn N. Doris Smith.

Billie retired as the claims manager for Lassiter Ware Insurance Company after 44 years of faithful service, she was also a member of the Life Church Assembly of God , Fruitland Park, FL. Billed loved to stay active and was a line dance instructor, active in New Vision for Independence, and as a Independent Life Skills Instructor.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Life Church Assembly of God Church in Fruitland Park. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. following the visitation. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, “Emerald Team” 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL. 32778.
