Blue staters moving to Florida threaten our tax haven’s survival

To the Editor:

The razor thin victory in the recent Florida governor’s and Senate races will allow Floridians to continue to enjoy a state with no income tax and our tax climate is safe for at least another four years.
Our biggest problem in Florida is that too many people moving down south from the cold, blue states seem to forget that they didn’t like the tax policies, the restrictive regulation and the socialist actions of the states they abandoned. Maybe they think that only the rich and businesses need to be taxed to pay for the “free” health care and “free” college, but that is exactly the mentality that produced oppressive taxes in the blue states they left behind. The more memory-challenged blue staters Florida gets, the more precarious is our tax haven’s survival.
