CDD supervisor calling for discussion of ‘deteriorating pavement’ of some villa roads

A Community Development District supervisor is calling for discussion of “deteriorating pavement” of some villa roads.

CDD 2 Supervisor Bill Schikora has asked that the topic be placed on the agenda for the Oct. 12 board of supervisors’ meeting.

Specifically, Schikora is concerned about villa roads in the Villages of Alhambra, Santiago and Santo Domingo. He is encouraging residents to come to the meeting set for 9:30 a.m. that day at the District Office at 984 Old Mill Run in Lake Sumter Landing.

CDDs located in the Sumter County portion of The Villages are responsible for the maintenance of villa roadways, but not the main thoroughfares, which are maintained by the county.

Schikora can be reached at (352) 552-1059.
