Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a blue Toyota Sienna after they observed it failing to come to a complete stop twice at the 17200 block of south Interstate 75, according to an arrest report. Deputies made contact with the driver who advised his name was Jan Koptko and that he was 32. The driver provided deputies with a Polish identification card, international driver’s license and registration information. When deputies found the material to be illegitimate, the driver advised that his real name was David Packowski and he is 31-years-old.

He told deputies he provided false information because he had an active warrant for his arrest out of Nassau County in New York. He was wanted on a charge of burglary.

Packowski was placed under arrest and transported to Marion County Jail. Bond was set at $1000.
