Don Edward Bryan

Don Edward Bryan, 87, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at The Villages Regional Hospital. He was born in Shelby, Mississippi.

Don lived in Marion County since 1979. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. He was a member and served as a Treasurer at First Baptist Church of Ocklawaha. An athlete at heart, he played softball, bowled, golfed, and shot pool. He loved wrestling, women’s softball and basketball, the Atlanta Braves, the Florida State Seminoles, and Little League Baseball.

Don was a man of integrity and honor and impressed these values on everyone who met him.

Don is survived by his son Lt. Lawrence Bryan of the Belleview Police Department. and wife Denise of Summerfield, FL, and daughters Deborah Bryan of The Villages, and Donna Nance McLucas and husband Dennis of Gallatin, TN, 9 grandchildren; Christa and Shawn, Kelly and Kyle, and Sarah, Jenny, Cindy, Angie, and Jacob, 17 great grandchildren; Kelsey Grace, Landen, Conner, Mikayla, Ava, Delilah, Gage, Gracie, Mason, Paisley, Addalyn, Camden, Laken, Andrea, Ashlynn, Lauren, and Claire. He was predeceased by his wife Lois Bryan in 2007, and his daughter Derinda Sue Bryan, and great grandson Travis.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10 a.m., at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Ocala, FL with Pastor Ernie Weiss officiating.
