Dorothy J. Weiss

Dorothy Julia Weiss, 95, passed away on February 20, 2018, at her home in The Villages, FL. Dorothy was born on May 21, 1922, in Little Ferry, NJ, and graduated from Lodi High School in 1940. She resided in Oradell and Toms River, NJ before moving to Florida in 2014.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and partner to her family. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Weiss of The Villages, FL, and her grandson, Christopher Weiss of San Diego, CA. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Joseph A. Weiss; her second partner of 23 years, Charles Haake; her son, Kenneth J. Weiss, and her parents and sister.

Dorothy’s life will be celebrated on March 3, 2018. Family and friends to meet at St. Peter the Apostle RC Church, 445 Fifth Avenue, River Edge, NJ at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow immediately at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
