A driver with a suspended license was arrested Saturday night after making an illegal U-turn near RaceTrac in Lady Lake.
David Garfield Gilchrist, 33, of Ocala, had been driving a four-door Nissan Xterra when he made the illegal U-turn and headed south, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
Gilchrist’s driver’s license had been suspended in 2014 after a controlled substance violation. The vehicle he was driving belonged to his father, the report indicated.
He previously has been arrested for driving while license suspended.
He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond.
