Edwin W. Williams

Edwin W. Williams, 83, of Wildwood, FL, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018. Mr. Williams was born August 4, 1935 in Leesburg to Walter Calvin and Polly Gertrude (Rowe) Williams.

He was of the Baptist Faith and has lived here all his life. Ed was a retired Sheriff Deputy, retiring from both Lake and Sumter Counties. He had even worked as the Chief of Police for Wildwood for a short while. He was a member of the Bushnell Masonic Lodge and loved gardening, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Jane; children, Randy & Crystal Williams of Wildwood and Penny & Ken Anderson of Wildwood; grandchild, Brandi & Bruce Gipson; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Alex, Amber and Chaston. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, 5 siblings and a grandson, John Reaves.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, December 10, 2018 with the funeral service at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel.
