Eugene ‘Gene’ R. Daudelin Jr.

Eugene ‘Gene’ R. Daudelin, Jr., age 79, of The Villages, FL, passed away on September 15, 2018.

Devoted husband, cherished father, proud grandfather, passionate life-long Cubs fan. Gene was the beloved son of the late Eugene R. Sr. and Alma Daudelin and born in Chicago, IL.

Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Susanne (Haas) and their five children: Renee (Thomas) Reed, Richard (Carolyn Jean), Jean (Martin) White, Susan (Richard) Wynne and Thomas (Marla). Grandfather of Marti, Ethan, Erica, Lauren, David, Kelsey, Callie, Matthew, Jessica and Addison. Dear brother of Richard, Paul (Betty), Lucille Frank, and Lea. Fond brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 21 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 South Spring Road, Elmhurst, IL. Funeral Mass, Saturday, September 22, 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 134 W Arthur St, Elmhurst, IL, followed by internment at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.

A memorial Mass will also be held on Wednesday, September 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5323 E County Road 462, Wildwood, FL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
