The Villages Deaf Senior Citizens is proudly hosting the 28th Annual FDGA Golf Tournament on May 3-5 at the Nancy Lopez Legacy Golf and Country Club. Unfortunately, for deaf or hard of hearing children, there are not always an unlimited amount of opportunities to learn or play golf.
However, The Villages Deaf Senior Citizens are enthusiastic to host the annual golf camp for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children the opportunity to learn and play the game of golf. Also, it will be done under Deaf golf instructors.
Want to join us in making a difference? Similar to The First Tee, The Villages Deaf Senior Citizens are introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to young DEAF people in the State of Florida and are raising money for First Golf Tee for Deaf Kids and any donation will help make an impact. $2,500 will cover the few days class of 10 participants. This event will be held at the Black Horse Ranch Resort on State Road 42. Code horse uses equin therapy to help veterans with PTSD. We are going to have horse drill teams, Cowboy mounted shooting Cowboy mounted shooting, Western. Correct firearms and cowboy Camp, can-can girls, vendors, food and concessions. The cost is $10 a person and all proceeds will go to assist code horse Equine Therapy for veterans with PTSD
Golf scramble to be held on Monday, May 20, 2019. Starts at 1:30 p.m., with registration at 11:00 a.m. Cost is $90.00 per player, includes awards dinner afterward at Lake Miona Recreation center. Putting contest for $5,000.00, also hole-in-one prizes of a 2019 Toyota, and Golf Cart. Register at Cane Garden Pro Shop, make checks payable to Cane Garden.
