Gordon was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Mary Lou Sollars Yahr, his parents, Arthur Alfred Yahr and Miriam Ruth Davis, and his sister, Sandra Newville.

He is survived by Mrs. Nellie Yahr (Arthur), his sister Kathryn Dagley (Dave), his children Deborah Beemer (Larry), Mary Jo Yarano (Ron), Lisa Kelly (Sean), and Timothy Yahr; grandchildren Holli (Darrell), Megan, Stephen, Matthew, Sarah, Sean Michael and Kathryn; and great-grandchildren Gary, Christopher, Zoe, Christian, Gabriel, and Orion.
