A grand opening date has been announced for a new Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market in The Villages.
The new Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market in The Villages is located at Sarasota Plaza, just south of County Road 466A.
The store, which is golf-cart accessible, will celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, Oct. 4.
The original Wal-Mart in The Villages, now more than a decade old, is located at Buffalo Ridge Plaza.
Wal-Mart launched its first Neighborhood Market in 1998. The pace of expansion peaked in fiscal 2015 with 235 Neighborhood Markets opening across the country.
