Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter will be accepting donations in support of hurricane Harvey recovery from Sept. 6 through 20 and has pledged to match the collective donations dollar for dollar up to $10,000.
Community members can donate by cash, check, or credit card at any one of Habitat’s four ReStore locations, online at habitatls.org/donate-hurricane-harvey, or by calling 352-483-0434.
“Having worked for Habitat and responded to hurricane Katrina, I know firsthand how much the victims of the storm need our help. We are proud to offer support in any way we can” says Kent Adcock, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter.
All of the donations collected at the ReStores and online, including the match by Habitat of Lake-Sumter, will be sent to Habitat affiliates in South East Texas preparing for recovery efforts after the storm. “Part of Habitat’s mission is to provide hope – so today, we will do our best to offer help to the victims of hurricane Harvey, helping them rebuild and move on after this difficult time,” Bill Neron, Board Chair of Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter.
