Hobart E. Thomas

Hobart E. Thomas, 87, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Brownwood Care Center in Wildwood.

Hobart was a native of Twin Branch, West Virginia and later moved to Florida in 2011. He served in the United States Navy. For 32 years Hobart worked for Nationwide Insurance.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Thomas; sons, Daniel Keller Thomas (Peggy) and James Ralph Thomas (Leigh Ann); daughter Mary T. Kent; sister Patsy Underwood (Bill); 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his sister, Faye Acord; brothers Eddie, Teddy and Bill; parents, James and Myletta “Blanche” Thomas.

No services will be held at this time.
