K. Howard Wiener

K. Howard Wiener, 75, of Leesburg, FL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving and beloved family on March 22, 2017. He was born August 4, 1941 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Joe and Esther Wiener.
Howard worked as a CEO and CFO in mental health organizations throughout the state of Florida. He moved to Leesburg from Miami in 2003 and began working with LifeStream Behavioral Center where he was the Senior Vice-President of Administrative Services. He was committed to the communities in which he lived and was a member of Congregation Beth Sholom in Leesburg and active in Kiwanis and Rotary as well as various other service organizations. Most recently, he was instrumental in the development and construction of the Veterans Memorial at Veterans Memorial Park in Leesburg. An avid fan of Florida State University Athletics, he especially loved FSU football. – “Go Noles”.
He is survived by: his beloved wife of 43 years, Omara of Leesburg; Son Bruce Wiener and wife Wendy of Tallahassee; son Salvador Esteva of Leesburg; daughter Ashley Slockett of Leesburg; grandchildren: Leah and Samantha Wiener, Isaiah Slockett and Luke Bass. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Esther Wiener.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday March 26, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg with Rabbi Karen Allen officiating. The family requests no flowers, rather donations be made, in Howard’s name to: LifeStream Behavioral Center; The Rotary Foundation; Cornerstone Hospice; or Congregation Beth Sholom.
