Lady Lake officials win high marks for annual Christmas Parade

Lady Lake officials won high marks for Saturday’s annual Christmas Parade.

Villager Doris Turlo of the Orange Blossom Gardens Lions Club and a volunteer with the event, offered praise Monday night when she spoke to the Lady Lake Commission.

She pointed to the work of Parks and Recreation Director Mike Burske “for all of the work he’s done” to help put on the annual event.

She also thanked Police Chief Chris McKinstry whose force safely got dozens of golf carts to the parade route and back home safely.

“People had great comments about the parade,” Turlo said. “I just wanted to say thank you.”
