Lawrence K. ‘Larry’ Mitchell

Lawrence K. “Larry” Mitchell, age 77, of The Villages, FL, formerly of Webster, NY passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017. He was born in Rochester, NY on January 5, 1940.

Larry served in the US Army. During his life Larry worked at Xerox starting in 1969 and retiring in 1995. He then worked for CAD CAM, Inc as a Division Manager retiring again in 2000. He relocated to The Villages, FL in 2002. He was a member of American Legion # 347. Larry enjoyed golfing and woodworking. He was a devoted father and grandfather.

He is survived by his son Loren (Yolanda) Mitchell; grandchildren Natalia and Jayden; brother Brian (Teresa) Mitchell, sister Marcia (Mike) Povio; step daughters Lori (John) Wing, Lisa (Sheldon) Boyce and Lynn (Tom) Moore; significant other Mary Jane Stewart; and step grandchildren Christopher Andreev, Joshua Porter, James McGregor, Jeffrey McGregor and Allison Wing. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Pauline Mitchell, and wives Sharon and Linda.

A memorial service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL 32159 on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. There will be a service in Rochester, NY to be announced at a later date.
