Local Ohio State alumni group takes home special accolades

Two Villagers recently traveled to Ohio for the opportunity to attend a special gathering.

Villagers Donna Smith and Barbara Williams display the ceremonial check they received for the Tri-County OSU Alumni Association of The Villages being selected as 2018 Group of the Year.

Donna Smith, of the Village of Alhambra, and Barbara Williams, of the Village of Santiago, traveled to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University’s “Club & Society Leadership Symposium.” While they were there, the women accepted a banner and $2,500 from the Alumni Association.

The accolades were in recognition of the Tri-County OSU Alumni Association of The Villages being selected to receive the 2018 Group of the Year Award. The award is given to one club that exemplifies the mission of alumni from The Ohio State.
