Long line spotted on first day of early voting at Lady Lake Public Library

A long line was spotted on the first day of early voting Monday at the Lady Lake Public Library. Lake County voters were lined up at the elevator, which transports voters to the second-story polling place at the library.

Meanwhile, Sumter County Supervisor of Elections Bill Keen is expecting a record turnout as early voting kicks off Tuesday, Oct. 23. Early voting continues through Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at six locations in Sumter County. Keen reported that 11,745 mail-in ballots have already been received in Sumter County ahead of the Nov. 6 election.

Early voting in Marion County begins Thursday, Oct. 25 and will continue through Nov. 3 at nine early voting sites. Sites are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., including an early voting site at Mulberry Grove Recreation Center in The Villages.
