To the Editor:
Residents of The Villages. You all must wake up to the over-crowded and poor emergency room service at The Villages Regional Hospital.
I had what was a series of appendix attacks causing severe pain and high blood pressure. Wife took me at about 11 p.m. to the emergency area. We were shocked to see at least 40-50 people in all conditions. I basically was crawling in and no one was at the service table. When we found someone, that person was rude, non-caring and I was just another number at the meat counter. We were told did not know when they could have someone see me. Also as we checked others waiting, many said they were waiting four, six, 12 and 16 hours, some with heart problems. This is cruelty, poor management, some were crying. Something must be done about this hospital’s poor conditions. Wake up and check it out. Had to go to another hospital.
