Man arrested after altercation with woman at Bison Valley

Mustafa Sameeh Rafraf

A man was arrested after an altercation with a woman at Bison Valley, a family subdivision in The Villages.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies responded at 1:10 a.m. Sunday to a home where a woman met them in the front driveway. She said that 31-year-old Mustafa Sameeh Rafraf, who had previously lived in the residence with her, had earlier taken her cell phone. When he returned, they began to argue, according to the arrest report. She said Rafraf grabbed a necklace she was wearing and ripped it from her neck. An altercation broke out between Rafraf and the woman. The deputy noted in the arrest report that the woman had suffered several red scratch marks on her neck.

Rafraf was arrested on a charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.
