Man arrested after argument with woman turns physical at Wal-Mart a Buffalo Ridge Plaza

A Wildwood man was arrested on a charge of battery after an argument with a woman turned physical Thursday afternoon at Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages.

Bryan Tyler Magitz, 22, was taken into custody by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies in the electronics department after he allegedly grabbed a woman by the arm.

He and the woman have had a history of verbal arguments that have been “getting worse,” according to an arrest report.

A child had been present during the altercation, but the child was not injured.

Magitz was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $500.
