Man walks out of Summerfield Wal-Mart with cart full of unpaid items

A man walked out of a Summerfield Wal-Mart with a cart full of unpaid items Tuesday night.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded to Wal-Mart located at 17961 S Hwy. 441 in reference to a retail theft, according to an MCSO incident report. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the store’s assistant manager, who advised that a black male entered the store and was observed placing items in his grocery cart and exited the store without paying for them, the report stated. He was not apprehended.

The assistant manager advised that the items the suspect took were identified as an HP Office desk printer valued at $89.98 and a 9C paper shredder valued at $52.97. There were other several items in the cart, but the assistant manager could not identify them.
