Marion County Sheriff’s Office seeking suspect who wounded man at ATM

A man was shot early Sunday morning when he was withdrawing money from a Wells Fargo ATM in Ocala.

The victim entered his vehicle after making a withdrawal from the ATM at the Wells Fargo.

At that time a black male approached the vehicle brandishing a firearm, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

The man attempted to drive away when the suspect fired multiple rounds at the victim, striking him twice. He was able to get away and call 911. He has since been treated and released at a local hospital.

The suspect is described as a black male, 18-21 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches tall, approximately 130 pounds wearing a black or dark gray hoodie and baggie denim pants or shorts. MCSO Major Crimes detectives are actively investigating this shooting.
