Marion DG Learnard

Marion DG Learnard of Ocklawaha, Florida passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Florida Hospital. She was 89. She was the beloved wife of Steven Learnard.

Marion was born in Haverhill, Ma on June 5,1929, daughter of  Frederick and Rose (Zardourian)Arakelian. She moved to Lowell Massachusetts to raise her three children,  who will miss her dearly. Anthony Der Garabedian Jr, wife Susan of Henrico Virginia, Katherine Coughlin and husband Steven of Tyngsboro, Ma, and Karlene Lefebvre and her husband James of Nashua.

Marion was predeceased by two brothers Frederick Arakelian Jr, and Richard Arakelian.  She is survived by Her sister Beatrice Sarkisian who resides in Chelmsford Ma and her sister in law Rose Kirkorian of Lowell Ma.

While married and raising her children Marion worked in Downtown Lowell in women’s retail and was a respected business women managing The Miss Howe Shop, The Miss Lynch Shop and Lynch’s. In her later years, she was the co-owner of a local health food store in Chelmsford center and other locations.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Paul Der Garabedian, Kara Burbank, Melanie Coughlin, Satara Brown, Allyson Bird, Elizabeth Der Garabedian, Rebecca Scorzato and Nancy Heron. She also has 10 great grandchildren. 

Services for Marion are private and there are no arrangements or calling hours.   A celebration of her life will be held by her family. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church, 180 Old Westford Rd., Chelmsford, Ma 01824.
