Meredith Hamilton (Preston) Dawson

Meredith Hamilton (Preston) Dawson, 29, of Weirsdale, FL was born September 2, 1988 to Kim and Charlene Williams Preston, passed away in a tragic accident, with her unborn child, on June 26, 2018.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Leesburg, FL. She owned and operated, along with her family, husband and Amanda Henderson the Ace Hardware stores in Fruitland Park and Weirsdale.

A beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend; survivors include: her husband, Blake; their daughter Jessica; parents Kim and Charlene Preston; brothers Brad and Seth (Kay) Preston; sister Kelley (Thomas) Crone; nieces and nephews: Nathan, Teagan, Bella, Calla and Alex.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 14, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, Leesburg, beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Cliff Lea presiding.

Due to health concerns and to embody Meredith’s spirit of tangible giving, the family requests no flowers, rather packs of diapers be brought to the service to benefit the Family Pregnancy Center or donations to the Christian Care Center denoted to benefit the Children’s Shelter. Meredith is to be interred privately at Forest Hills Cemetery in Weirsdale.

“She walked by faith in her Lord as a wife, mom, caregiver, business owner, travel junkie, yogi and plant eater.”
