The road closure is necessary to accommodate roadwork extending from Lost Lake Elementary School to Hancock Road. This portion of Johns Lake Road will come down to one lane open to local traffic only during the improvements.

Detour signs will be posted to alert the public, and motorists are asked to use caution in the area. Commuters should allow for additional travel time.

The full project, scheduled for completion in December 2017, will widen the road to 24-feet and will include storm drainage improvements, utility work and sidewalk construction along Johns Lake Road.

For more information regarding the road work, contact the Lake County Public Works Department at 352-253-6007.
