Where is the outrage over slaughter of elephants?

To the Editor:

I am shocked that not one person has spoken up about Trump’s reversal of President Obama’s ban on the import of the heads, the severed heads and the hacked off body parts of slaughtered, endangered, magnificent elephants!  With a community that strolls around with “Pookie” and foo-foo dogs in baby carriages it is beyond me how even the utmost Trump supporters are not outraged at this travesty!
It seems the only reason that Trump has reversed this ban is that Donny Jr. now can bring home the heads of all the animals that he has killed.
Lions. Who does’t need a lions head mounted on their living room wall? But the outrage is the photo of Donny Trump Jr. proudly waving the severed tail of a female elephant that he had just hacked off with bloody knife in hand, smiley proudly!  Just how hard is it to “hunt” the largest land mammal on earth on one of the flattest plains in the world?
I have seen “wastebaskets” made out of an elephant’s foot!  Just what is he going to do with the rest of the parts of his “trophies”; a bell pull to ring for his butler with the elephants’s tail?  Dogs are plentiful. If I “hunted” dogs and used their body parts as “trophies” and proudly waved their hacked off tails with a bloody knife in hand, I don’t think anyone would think I was a “sportsman”!  By the way, I have a “Pookie” and a foo-foo dog.
