Go to a Dorels’ show and you might hear everything from Elvis to The Temptations to Patsy Cline to Dion.
“We sing doo-wop, Motown, R&B, country and just about anything people want to hear,” said Toni Booker, who along with Earl Cash, Bill Rascoe, Henry “Tres” Tresvant and Cliff Cook makes up The Dorels

“We have a lot of talented people on the show and it’s going to be special,” Booker said, noting it sold out in couple weeks The Dorels have been growing in popularity and play about three times a month for various clubs around The Villages.

They are an interesting mix of personalities and careers. Booker is a former police officer from Detroit. Cash used to be a school principal; Tresvant a computer analyst, and Cook a registered nurse. Rascoe was an engineer for IBM.
They may have had different occupations but when they sing, the Dorels make glorious harmony. “We do a lot of old school music but we can sing the newer songs, too,” Booker said.
And The Dorels’ family extends beyond the stage. Joyce Cash, Earl’s wife, acts as kind of a caretaker for the group. Ronald Booker, Toni’s husband, operates the sound board.
“We’re all in this together,” Toni Booker said. “We just have a good time making music.”
