Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Richard Keene, The Villages, FL, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015, in The Villages Hospital. Richard was born in London, England on June 27, 1927. He traveled extensively during his career for Cable and Wireless-UK. Richard was a member of The Rotary Club for over 40 years and Secretary of The Rotary Club of The Villages almost 10 years after moving to The Villages in 1995. Richard is survived by his wife Grata La Cruz, four daughters Jane Dulieu and Sheila Lund of the Villages, and Maria Huntley and Helen Keene from Puerto Rico, two stepsons Rodrigo Gonzales, of Michigan, and Eduardo Gonzales of Maryland; Twelve grandchildren, Rene, Guy, Leon, Richard, Erik, Chantal, Tanya, Jon Felix, Aly, Nolan, Rondito and Seneca; and eight great-grandchildren. Richard was the patriarch and cornerstone of his family, The Villages being the locus of most all family celebrations. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015, 10 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, followed by a brunch in the church hall.
