An Ocala man called a Marion County sheriff’s deputy Monday to report a missing lawnmower and trailer from his Summerfield property.
The 69-year-old man told the deputy that the open, black-framed trailer and orange riding lawnmower were stolen sometime in the past week from the property he purchased recently in the 10500 block of SE 146th Lane, a sheriff’s office report states.
The man also told the deputy that the trailer and lawnmower had been secured with three different cables and padlocks. He said the trailer, valued at $1,000, had a new wooden floor in it and the $1,500 mower had a 46-inch deck.
