Robert John Weeks

Robert John Weeks

Robert John Weeks, 81, of The Villages, FL, joined his eternal family in Heaven on September 11, 2018. Bob was born in Minneapolis, MN on October 21, 1936, to Edson and Clara Ann Weeks.

Bob amply provided for his family financially through employment at Pako Corporation for 24 years, then Rouse Mechanical and finally Ace Supply; all in the Minneapolis area.

Bob provided recreation for his family who were spectators and sometimes participants in his many softball games and through times at the family lake home, where he helped teach the grandkids how to tube and water ski and fish.

He lived in MN until retiring to The Villages, FL.

Bob provided leadership for his family through membership and involvement in Berean Evangelical Free Church and New Hope Church in Minnesota, and at Live Oaks Community Church in The Villages, FL. His quiet life of faith in Jesus as his personal Savior was an example to his family and so many others. He left this earth quietly and peacefully, and with a smile on his face; obviously looking forward to his new life in Heaven.

He is survived by his wife Judy of The Villages, FL; son Michael of New Prague, MN; daughters Pamela (Dean) Solstad-Montray of Oxford, FL, and Karen (Blake) Leonard of Poway, CA; brother Richard (Aleda) Weeks of Merrifield, MN. He was loved by his grandchildren Tylor Solstad, Ethan Weeks, Kally (Travis) Marschall, Jesse Solstad, Sydney Weeks, Justin Montray, Owen Leonard, Colin Leonard; and great grandchild Taten Marschall; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Edson Weeks, Jr., and Warren J. Weeks; nephew Edson Weeks III; and seven grandbabies.

Bob was well loved as husband to Judy; dad to Mike, Pam, and Karen; father-in-law to Dean and Blake; Papa to his grandchildren, and “Papa-Papa” to his great grandchild. He will be sorely missed.

Bob will be remembered with a Celebration of Life Service at Live Oaks Community Church in Oxford, FL, Saturday, September 15, 2018. The church is located at the corner of Woodridge and CR 103, with an entrance on Woodridge. Visitation is at 1:15, service at 2 p.m. Inurnment will at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN at later date.

Memorials are preferred to Live Oaks Community Church, American Parkinson Disease Association, or Mayo Clinic Cancer Research.
