Rose Marie Turcotte

Rose Marie Turcotte, 79, Fruitland Park, Florida, passed away on September 18, 2017 at Lady Lake Specialty Care Center, Lady Lake, Florida. Mrs. Turcotte was born on June 13, 1938 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to her parents Romuald Turcotte and Yvonne (Labelle) Turcotte.

She had worked in the Hotel Industry as a Bookkeeper. Rose Marie moved to Fruitland Park nine years ago from East Millinocket, Maine. She was of the Catholic Faith and attended St. Paul Catholic Church, Leesburg, Florida. She was a proud Veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force as a Nurse. Mrs. Turcotte received her Master’s degree from University of Massachusetts and was a member of Mensa (membership is based on an individual’s high I.Q. score).

She enjoyed playing pinochle, cribbage, scrabble and going to bingo.

She is survived by her loving daughter: Juanita Lyons of Sterling VA; a brother: Joseph Robert (Linda) Turcotte of Houston, TX; two sisters: Dorothy (Donald) Zyto of Fruitland Park, FL and Claire Turcotte of Leesburg, FL; five grandchildren: Charles Brunelle, III, Kelly Irene Hart, Jimmy W. Viles, Lester Scott Viles and Jessie Sipina; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel, Leesburg, FL.

In her loving memory the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at donors@stjude.org.
