Security cameras stripped from new Cody’s to open soon at Mulberry Grove Plaza

More than $2,000 worth of security cameras have been stripped from a new Cody’s Original Roadhouse to open soon at Mulberry Grove Plaza in The Villages.

A manager with the restaurant chain on Sunday contacted Marion County sheriff’s deputies after discovering that 16 security cameras were missing.

Landscapers work at the new Cody’s on County Road 42 in The Villages.

Also missing are three Direct TV satellite receivers, a power supply for the cameras and wiring for the cameras.

The missing items have a total value of $2,775.

A spokesperson at Cody’s corporate office in Ocala, indicated the new restaurant is scheduled to open the day after Christmas.

Successful Cody’s restaurants are located at Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood.
