Seniors vs. Crime and the VHA will offer a session on “Protecting Your Nestegg (Assets).”

It will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 at La Hacienda Recreation Center.

Residents will have the opportunity to learn the truth about financial scams. Seniors vs Crime will share material from the Securities and Exchange Commission and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority targeting the “free lunches” offered in full page ads promoting investments and whether these are financial planners or insurance salespeople taking Villagers’ lifesavings.

This program will address some common scams in our area, how to identify/avoid them and how to get assistance from Seniors vs. Crime.

This program is for VHA members only, although Villagers will have the opportunity to join at the door. There will be limited seating on a first come, first served basis.
